I needed an SD card to mod my Wii and so I used the one from my Magellan GPS unit - - well apparently that was a very bad idea as now I cannot use the GPS. Apparently I deleted maps and what not - soo I cannot find a torrent anywhere to fix this problem - and Magellan doesn't have a download of what was on my SD card. I am trying to update my fiancee's Mio Moov 500 and there seems to be little to no support on the mio website. Under the Map tab in their download section they have the Mio Moore Desktop application. So I figure it's under the map tab it must update you map or something right? Nope, just a buggy program that does almost everything but help you to update your map. Hey Everyone! I'm new to this whole "Iphone" stuff. I recently bought a 8GB iphone (3G) and I called my wireless support to ask them these questions, but they really never gave me an answer (and seemed to not really get what I was asking) and so I thought I would ask you guys! If I plug in my iphone to my computer and transfer my songs from my itunes to it and listen to them off the phone, does that cost me data time? Or is it just like my phones the new ipod and I can just listen away? I asked them and they said that playing them was using data, but I dont think she understood what I was asking! Also if I'm hooked up to Wi-Fi can I download stuff and view Youtube and have it not rack up on my data plan? Also if I'm on Wi-Fi can I use the gps/map thing as well? Is Google Maps free to use on my BlackBerry Storm 9530? I know the download and installation is free but when I actually use it am I paying for it? I am trying to search through the web for USA maps for my InVion gps 3v1 that goes on a SD card and I don't seem to have the luck of finding in either Ebay or Craigslist for this item. I lost my SD maps from the sd slot through an accident and when I went back to the incident it could never be found, so I was hoping through the internet there would be copies I could download and put it on another SD card but that doesn't seem to be the case. Resolved Question: Don't you hate when cell phone companies charge for services?

that should not really be services. For example, you buy a phone that has a GPS chip on it. Verizon disables the GPS chip for all applications but the verizon GPS service (which carries a monthly fee). You already paid for the phone and GPS is a hardware feature. Free download applications (like google maps) could use the GPS if it weren't crippled. I have no problem paying for features that really are a service (like texting, sending pictures and video, browsing the web) because those require usage of Verizon bandwidth and are truely a service, but the GPS thing is a different category altogether. Thoughts ? John D. You are totally wrong. The GPS (Global Positional Satellite) is a signal put out by US government owned satellites. Not one dot of verizon bandwidth is used for picking up a GPS signal. more

I have a samsung eternity with AT&T connection and no data plan. Is there a application that I can download, which gives me directions without using data plan. I don't need exact navigation capabilities ie, If I can enter start address and end address, I should be able to give me just directions. .. like 1. Go .5 mile on xxxxx Street. 2. Take left at yyyyy Blvd, 3. Continue for 1 mile. These sort of textual directons is enough. I have enough memory, So I can preload maps.. If it is possible. Alright, so I will be living in an entirely different city since I am going away for college and my main transportation will be my car. But I have little to no knowledge about the streets and the area in general. I'm looking for a car GPS that really isn't more than $300, unless it's exceptionally phenomenal. I was looking at Garmin but it seems that people have mixed ideas about it. I would generally want/need for it to have Bluetooth, pre-downloaded map for Canada (and Europe if they offer it without needed to pay extra for CDs). Obviously something that works generally pretty damn good as far as everything else goes. So if anyone can point me to a few devices that go along this (or even others that I would be interested in) I would be very, very appreciate. Thank you. more

Voting Question: How do I load Garmin GPS maps to SD card instead of internal memory?

I have Garmin StreetPilot C330. I downloaded the new maps on my computer, exe file called Garmin_RMU_CNNANT2010C. I went to load these maps on my Garmin and got a message that my internal memory is too small to hold all these maps. And then it asked which part of the maps would I like to download. So I got an SD card thinking I can put all the maps in the external memory. But when I start the exe file it says again "your internal memory is too small.." and doesn't give an option to put anything on the SD card. So how on earth do I get the maps to go to the SD card, not the internal memory? Thanks! more

Voting Question: Garmin Nuvi 300 help?

My nuvi 300 is giving me the message "no map data available" when I try to go to the icons for inputting an address or for food, lodging hospitals... basically any location that I would have to input. My saved locations are however still there. I also noticed that I have no streets on the GPS only major highways, in other words, when you are in the city, it looks like you are in a field showing only the interstate. I have gone through the menu on the unit a million times thinking that a setting may need to be adjusted but to no avail. The system was working just fine until a week ago. I tried to go to the Garmin website and download updates but nothing on my GPS changed... did I miss the right download? I also noticed that the clock on the GPS is still 1 hour behind and did not adjust itself after daylight savings time kicked in. Any help is greatly appreciated. more

Hello yahoo members. Help me yahoo experts =) 1)Regarding mp4 format. im coverting movies to my nokia E63. im using total video converter. Easy to use. video converted to mp4 format is good but if i transfer to my nokia E63 it will play but the problem is always hang in a sec. then play hang and so on. How to convert that will play to my nokia E63 perfectly? With high resolution and good audio quality. If I use 3GP format the movie is running smoothly but I don’t like the quality. Very poor… any video converter for nokia that will run perfectly? Or any suggestions? =) 2)how to use Maps in nokia E63? Need to use wifi right? 3)Also GPS data in nokia E63 how to use that?
